Modern. 1974-75 Foundation Course at Southport Art College. 1975-78 Degree in Graphic Design at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic. 1979-80 PGCE in Art Education at City of Birmingham Polytechnic. 1981-2004 Full-time Lens & Time-based Studies Lecturer at Blackburn College. 1993-97 Studied for M.Phils at Manchester Metropolitan University. 1997- 2000 Converted to Ph.D at Liverpool John Moores University. 2001 Awarded Doctorate.
